Nataša Janković

A Serbian national, Nataša Janković (1975) participated in the annual “Art for Peace Award” in Rwanda in 2006 with her painting “Icyizere cy’Ejo Heza”. The painting shows 6 pieces each with different narratives coming together in a puzzle to narrate the story of Rwanda from its tragic past to the bright future. The painting by Janković belonged to the National Art Gallery which later became Rwanda Art Museum in 2018. Despite Rwanda Art Museum’s efforts to get in touch with the artist after more than a decade of her visit to Rwanda, there is no further information on her art career after 2006.
